Overview

Level 3 Teaching Assistant & SEN Certificate is a recognised credential for people who want to work in education as teaching assistants or classroom support staff in the UK. It is the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning. Many educational institutions and training providers in the UK are offering this course. In general, the course covers a variety of crucial subjects relevant to assisting teaching and learning in educational settings. These things are understanding the UK educational system, supporting health and safety, protecting children and young people, and recognising child development. Students who complete this course are well-prepared to work as teaching assistants, learning support assistants, classroom assistants, and other positions that help instructors and students in educational settings. It may also be a springboard for higher education credentials and career progression.

On the other hand, the SEN Teaching Certificate programme provides a thorough and specialised curriculum to give teachers the information and abilities they need to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) effectively. This course enables teachers to offer individualised help to students with a range of SEN needs by providing a general overview and delving further into areas like communication, cognition, and social-emotional issues.

This is a decent offer for the learners to grab both the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and the SEN Teaching certificate.

Participants in this programme will leave with a certificate and a comprehensive grasp of how to improve the lives of children, especially those with special educational needs.

Learning Outcome:

FAQs

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
